Received my ref 36 yesterday and can't say enough about how excited I am. It is gorgeous to look at and it plays beautiful. What a job in setting it up. Believe me it is finely tuned and the response is great. The tone and the key action is just what I am looking for also. I did a lot of research before making a purchase and I am very happy with Saxquest and the service they provide.

Recently completed a trade/purchase deal for a vintage Martin Baritone saxophone and I'm extremely happy with this saxophone and how the entire deal was handled! Every thing was as described and the horn played beautifully from the 1st blow! Communication is sometimes slow, but if you are patient Mark will answer your questions and more! I would not hesitate to recommend SaxQuest to anyone!

Thanks for the trade and the service. My only critique is to keep people updated by email if possible. I had to email 2-3 times to get a response.

I bought a 1960 Selmer Mk6 alto from Saxquest about 2 years ago. I wanted a Mk6 like my teacher had, but I was worried about buying over the internet, so I decided to buy a new Selmer seriesIII alto. I went through 3 of them within about 2 weeks: they all leaked! I took one to a good repair man and he advised me to get a vintage sax from an on-line shop. Although I still was anxious about buying an old sax sight unseen, I figured I could hardly do any worse. I am super happy with my vintage Mk6 alto - it has beautiful tone, great action and has played like a champ since the day it arrived! It was exactly as described and pictured on your site. I could not be more happy with it. Thank you so much for setting me up with a horn that will always be my prize posession.

Recently I purchased two Francois Louis ligatures, one for my soprano and one for tenor. The soprano lig fit my Wolfe Tayne rubber, but the tenor lig was a little too big for my Berg metal. I suggested to Syd that maybe the small alto lig might fit, and he agreed. What I did't expect was that he put a tenor plate on the alto ligature for me. I thought this great of him to do this, and the ligature is truly great as well. So, I say it again - Thanks, Syd!
