Saxquest DICK OATTS Clinic – Saturday Oct 9 – 11AM

When: 2010-10-09

October is a very exciting month for us here at Saxquest. We have several wonderful clinics going on. This Saturday I’m delighted to invite you out for a wonderful performance/clinic featuring the great Dick Oatts on saxophone and Soren Moller on piano. Their performance/clinic will start 11AM. As always, the setting will be casual and refreshments will be served.

Dick Oatts got his first big break after moving to New York in 1977 when he got the call to play in the Thad Jones – Mel Lewis Orchestra. Since that time, his performances, tours and recordings have included playing with a virtual who’s-who list in jazz. From Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn to Red Rodney, Bob Brookmeyer and Jerry Bergonzi to Mel Torme and even James Taylor and everyone else in between.

Soren Moller moved to New York in 2002 from Copenhagen, Denmark to study at the Manhatten School of Music. In addition to being a formidable voice on piano and organ, Soren is equally gifted as a composer in both small group and big band setings.

We’re so honored and thrilled to be able to bring this fantastic event to you. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by. Please print and distribute the attached flier to as many people you know who may be interested. Thanks for your support!!!.

I hope to see you on Oct 9 at Saxquest!!
