Dukoff Fluted Chamber .075”
This is a very nice Dukoff hard rubber Fluted Chamber for alto saxophone. The piece is stamped a 3* and measures .075” at its tip opening. These pieces were made with a large inner chamber and rounded inner side walls. As a player this one reminds me of playing a good vintage Otto Link. Very smooth with a rich and balanced sound.
The outer body of the piece is in very good condition for its vintage. There is a little bit of play wear around the beak, but nothing too serious. It does not have any super deep indentations Outside of standard light wear from past ligature placement and general use the piece does not have any serious wear to note. The facing profile is also in extremely nice condition.
The piece was stamped a 3* but measures .075 closer to a 6M by Meyer measurements.
I very much wish we came across more of these pieces. They are rare, unique and play fantastic.
