This is a vintage King Marigaux tenor saxophone in lacquer finish from the 1970's, serial #34289. These vintage SML's are not talked about quite as much as some of the other French brands but can be great players and are very viable for players on a budget. The King Mariguax features key work from low Bb to high F with front F key. They also have a very cool moving G# lever which allows you to play with either a fully articulated or non articulated G# in the left hand pinkey table.

This one in particular is currently in need of service work before it is going to be ready for any serious playing. It is missing the low C key guard. The body of the horn is in solid condition showing some signs of past body and solder repair. The bow cap has been slightly pushed in It is with the original neck. The neck has also had some history of repair. This saxophone came in with a decent looking set of standard leather pads. Most techs will probably recommend starting over and doing an overhaul on the saxophone along with finding either an original or aftermarket replacement for the missing key guard.

Right now we have a number of great vintage items in need of restoration. Because our shop is very backed up these days we can not get to restoring all of them. As such we are selling this one in as is condition needing restoration at a low price.
