HELP, I Want One!

Selmer Paris Mark VI Tenor – 1972
This is a late vintage Selmer Paris Mark VI tenor saxophone, serial number 204194. The tenor was recently overhauled in our shop and is now in perfect playing condition. It features a remarkably beautiful sonic character and is an absolute blast to play.

When this tenor first came into our shop it was already in raw brass and was in need of some serious TLC. To make it right we performed a very meticulous overhaul on it which included a healthy amount of body and solder work as well as having the engraving professionally touched up. During the restoration there was repair and reinforcement performed on the low Eb tone hole as well as filling a crack on the lower front of the bell with silver solder. ( see picture 25 )  The overhaul also included precise key fitting and a thorough set up with all new Valentino pro pads, metal domed resonators as well as new corks and felts. The key work feels ultra fluid under the fingers allowing for a smooth movement across the entire instrument.

The sax is with all of the original key work and guards. It is also with the original Mark VI neck. The neck has also seen some history of repair and pull down correction.

Despite the amount of work that has been done on this sax it is now in solid condition and is a great player. It is an ideal instrument for a modern professional looking to get into a Mark VI for much lower price point. Ships out in perfect playing condition with 1970's vintage wood hard case. Please take a look at the pictures and let us know if you have any questions.
