King Super 20 Tenor
This is a pretty King Super 20 tenor saxophone, serial number 319728. It shows off a very pretty original lacquer finish as well as the signature pearl side, palm and aux touch keys these horns are known for. This horn in particular is in very nice physical condition. It is currently awaiting a mechanical overhaul in our shop and ships in perfect playing condition with the original King wood hard case.
Like many of the great pro horns the sax does looks like it has seen plenty of past play time. There is currently some smaller size dings along the horn (which we will remove) but there is not history of serious past repair and the sax has never received any solder repair. The body tube, bow and bow cap are all in great condition. All of the original key work and key guards are also with the sax and in excellent shape. This tenor is with the original sterling silver neck and matching serial number stamp. The neck has one small ding which we will remove but it has never seen major repair and has never been pulled down. This neck also still has a lot of the original gold lacquer over spray on top of the sterling.
Saxquest has sold a number of these tenors in the past and they are a great option if you are looking for a powerful free blowing voice. This one features an ultra lush voice rich in overtones. Because it has been quite some time since this horn has been regulatory played or has received service work it is currently in line to receive a professional overhaul in our shop. The Saxquest professional overhaul will include a complete dissemble and cleaning before it receives precise key fitting and a top notch set-up with all new Valentino leather pro pads, metal domed resonators and all new key materials. While the horn is in our shop we will also remove the dings along the body and neck. This saxophone ships out in perfect playing condition with the original King wood hard case.
