This is a very good original lacquer Buescher Aristocrat Model 140 alto sax, serial number 350058. This alto needs an overhaul, but once properly restored, it will be a fine player for you, and at a price that is hard to beat.

The original lacquer on this alto shows moderate wear from normal use, but overall it still shows very good coverage. The horn is complete with all original hardware, including original neck (some past dent work but still good), original Buescher snap-in metal resonators, and original gold plated Norton springs. All the original amber rollers too. This horn was manufactured just after the famous “Big B” model, and is essentially the same horn with different engraving on the bell.

With our repair shop so behind, we are offering this horn as-is, but we're happy to do the work if you'd like, just select from the option above. Our overhaul would include full disassembly and cleaning, all necessary dent work, all new pads and material (while retaining the original snaps), and pro regulation. We'd set the key heights and spring tensions back to factory specs and it would be playing great. Please allow 6-8 weeks for the work to be done, if selected.
