Conn Naked Lady Tenor
This is a vintage C.G. Conn 10M “Naked Lady” tenor saxophone, serial number 295520. These 10M   tenors are powerful free blowing players and are iconic items of the big band era. They feature rolled tone hole construction, tril G#, front F and the Conn “Naked Lady” engraving on the bell. This particular horn is with all of the original key work as well as the rollers and original neck.

The saxophone was re-lacquered at some point in the past. Its current lacquer shows a mix of raw bras and lacquered areas with a healthy amount of build up from years of use. The body tube, bow, bow cap and bell are all in great shape. There is currently a couple of smaller dings around the lower bow area. The original neck of the saxophone is included and is in good condition. It shares the same cosmetic condition as the rest of the body and has a few small dings but does not appear to have ever been seriously pulled down.

The saxophone is currently playing down to a low Bb on a clean set of leather pads that look to be only a few years old. Unfortunately a lot of the cork and felt work on the horn is due to be replaced and there are a large number of leaks present. Ultimately if you are going to be doing a lot of serious playing on this sax it is going to need some service work first. Most techs are likely going to recommend doing a complete overhaul on it in order to “do it right” and properly address the build up of green. But depending on how picky you are (or your repair tech) you could possibly be able to get by with doing less. In order to offer the sax at the best price possible we are selling this saxophone in as is condition at this time.

This tenor ships out playing in as is condition with a newer guard gig bag.
