This is a very nice Yamaha YAS 82Z “Custom Z” alto saxophone in gold lacquer finish, serial number 371407. The alto is in tremendous physical condition and was very well cared for by the last owner. It shows some modest play wear but no history of major past repair or damage. The body tube, bow, bow cap and bow are all in fabulous condition. There has never been any solder repairs on this horn. The original G1 neck is also with the sax and is also in amazing condition.

This sax came in to our shop on its original factory set and is currently in need of some general TLC and cleaning. It is currently due for some general TLC and cleaning. As such it is currently in our shop awaiting a professional set up. The set up work will included a dissemble and cleaning followed by necessary key fitting and a precise regulation of he key work. While the horn is apart we will also replace any needed materials and pads.

The Custom Z is a top notch modern professional instrument. Like all of the Yamaha models, the Custom Z is a highly versatile playing saxophone. The Z is considered to be the most “free blowing” of the Yamaha pro models.
