Selmer Paris Metal Mouthpiece for Tenor
This is an older Selmer “Jazz” mouthpiece for tenor saxophone. The piece has seen a decent amount of past play time and shows a healthy amount of cosmetic wear and fading to the bite plate. It also shows it was once upon a time worked on. It now features a touch of baffle below the tip rail.
These pieces are usually very straight forward players. This particular piece has a much more precise response to air and slightly more brilliant color. I personally like the difference a little bit of baffle has made on this mouthpiece. The tip opening is still on the closed side for a jazz piece with a tip opening of .087”. This is in the zone of a 5* in Otto Link measurements.
