HELP, I Want One!

Lightly Used Show Model P. Mauriat Alto
.Here we have a P. Mauriat Le Bravo 200 tenor saxophone with gold lacquered keys, matte gold lacquer on the body and a nickel silver neck, serial number PM0202423. This saxophone is in nearly new condition, with a very small cosmetic blemish that has formed. This imperfection is only cosmetic and does not affect the playability nor the structural integrity of the horn.

The Le Bravo 200 is a pretty tenor with a lovely sound, a great option for someone looking to step up their gear, but not nearly as expensive as a pro-line horn. This one comes with full chromatic keywork you'd find on any pro, modern horn, a high F# key, front-F mechanism, tilting Bb table key, ribbed construction, blued-steel needle-springs, and straight, drawn tone holes. The palm keys, and neck octave key have stainless steel flat springs interestingly. The neck is sterling silver with a matte lacquer brass brace on the underside.

This horn is in beautiful, lightly played condition, but it possesses one notable blemish. A bit of acid bleed is showing on the lower-stack's ribbing. Acid bleed is a slow chemical reaction between the lacquer and the brass that does not corrode, but merely discolors the lacquer. Luckily, the cosmetic imperfection is tucked away beneath the close-guard, so it's not normally visible.

Aside from the acid-bleed, the horn is flawless and plays with a dark focused sonic character, homogeneous from top to bottom, and rock solid intonation. Saxquest will include, with purchase, a standard set-up where we will replace all natural cork and felts with synthetic long lasting materials.

If you're a serious student looking to take your playing to the next level, Le Bravo 200 is a perfect vessel to do so. This horn ships in perfect playing condition with its original sterling silver 'Super VI Neck' all in a P. Mauriat box carrying case.
