Here we have a P. Mauriat 66-RXCL 'Influence' tenor sax in gorgeous cognac, dark-gold lacquer, serial number PM0110416. This saxophone is close in design to the 66-RCL, but with nickel key touches. The rest of the horn is standard to 66R models, rolled tone holes, standard modern chromatic key-work from low Bb up to high F#, a beautiful engraving on the front of the bell that trails down to the bow.
These horns play beautifully with a warm, focused sonic character with a slight modern edge, great intonation as well! The Super VI neck has a great free-blowing feel as it allows for effortless access to a wide range of dynamics.
While this horn is physically stunning, there is one blemish, the bell flare has been pulled slightly on the left side (opposite of bell-keys). This area has been affected in a minor way, it's hard to see unless you hold it up to the right light! So we are going to offer it at a reduced price in a 'Floor Model' deal. Aside from the bell-rim, the horn is in perfect condition.
We will ship this sax with a Saxquest set-up, its original 'Super VI' neck, in a P. Mauriat carrying case.
