This is an older MacSax 8* S or Sheppard model for tenor saxophone. This one in particular has seen some play time in the past but is still in great physical condition. There is some cosmetic blemishing around the table and profile from past use but the integrity of the facing is still original.
The piece dates back to when Bob Sheppard collaborated with Eric Falcon on a mouthpiece line. These pieces are most ideal when you want a dark core sound but still need lots of flexibility and projection. The tip opening of this mouthpiece measures .115”.
