The Yamaha YPC-87R is the next step in the evolution of Yamaha piccolos. A characteristically bright and cheerful tone is complemented by accurate intonation, agility across all registers, and outstanding control at soft volumes and in the upper register. It is fashioned from the finest select grenadilla wood for both the body and headjoint, which is a handcrafted “Wave” cut head. Keywork is all sterling silver, and the instrument is padded with Straubinger pads.
