The P. Mauriat saxophones have quickly gained in popularity because of their excellent quality at fantastic prices. This horn, the PMXA-67R UL, is part of the "Vintage Series" of instruments. It is an un-lacquered horn, so expect it to tarnish as it ages and give it a wonderful "vintage" look. The un-lacquered finish provides the most organic free breathing response possible. The 67RUL has a exceptional warm free blowing response in the way it takes in the air. Like all of the model 67’s by P. Mauriat this alto is constructed with rolled tone holes. These provide for a better seal for your pads and a quieter key action.

We have spent a lot of time playing these instruments, and have come to the conclusion that you just can't get a better sax for the money. We played them side by side with many saxes in the shop, including vintage Mark VI's, and came away impressed with their projection, richness of sound, overall character of tone and precise intonation.

Every P. Mauriat sax we sell does come with our full set up, which includes a complete regulation and adjustment. We thoroughly play-test every instrument after the set up, to insure they are playing at the height of their capabilities. The sax does come with our full one year warranty.
