HELP, I Want One!

Conn Naked Lady Alto Sax
This is a vintage C.G. Conn 6M “Naked Lady” alto saxophone in gold lacquer from the late 1950's, serial number 725719. It would be a great item for anyone looking to get a good playing sax for a great cost.

The body of the sax is in excellent physical condition. It shows plenty of honest play history, light scratching and general play wear but nothing too serious. There is no signs of major past body work and there has never been any re-solders. All of the nickel key work, guards and original double socket neck is intact and in good condition.

This later model 6M is constructed with straight tone holes. The neck is a true double socket neck with under-slung octave key and standard mouthpiece receiver and cork.

The sax came in playing nicely on its current set of older pads. It takes the air in smooth and easy while producing a very sweet free blowing sound. A fantastic horn if you are looking for a horn you can put a lot of air into.  It looks like the last owner did a good job of keeping the horn clean and keeping it playing on the older pads. If you plan on doing a lot of playing on the alto it is ultimately going to need to be re-padded in the not too distant future.

Rather you are looking for a more affordable 6M or just a good vintage alto this one can be picked up at a great price. It ships in as is condition with Conn wood hard case.
