Original lacquer Buescher Aristocrat “Big B” engraved alto saxophone, serial number 314851. This alto looks great with very good coverage of its original lacquer. This is alto is currently in line for a fresh repad from our repair shop, and will ship in perfect adjustment.

As you can see in the photos, the lacquer shows honest wear from normal use, but still has excellent lacquer coverage. There's some minor cosmetic pings here and there, and some dent repair on the back inside part of the bell, where the bell-to-body brace was pushed into the bell in shipping damage. The sax still has all of its original metal snap-in resonators, which we'll retain with the new pads, as well as the original gold plated Norton springs. The sax's original “01” neck is also included and in great shape.

This alto plays with a sweet, warm sound, with a quick and lively response. Overall a very free blowing instrument and it has a nice spread in its tone that expands out from the bell. The warmth and color lends itself to both classical and jazz work. A nice, versatile instrument at a price that won't break the bank! Ships in its original case.
