Yanagisawa 991 Tenor – Lacquer

This is a great Yanagisawa 991 tenor saxophone in gold lacquer, serial 00317834. The Yanagisawa 991 is a flexible modern tenor and is an ideal item for the versatile professional. They are highly regarded for solid construction and amazing playability.

This one has been actively used in the past. It shows some scratches along the back side as well as a healthy amount of general play wear. The body tube, bow and bow cap are all in good physical condition and have not received any serious past repair. This saxophone is with the original neck. The neck was pulled down in the past, but we will address this in our shop and make sure it is brought back to its true position.

This tenor is currently due for a set up and some general TLC. As such it is currently awaiting a professional set up in our shop. The Saxquest set up will include a complete dissemble cleaning and fresh regulation of the key work. We will also change out any of the pads that are not up to our standards as well as replace all of the cork and felt materials. While the sax is in the shop the neck will also be corrected.

The Yanagisawa 991 is a superb professional instrument. These horns play with medium warm sonic character and a good focused control. They are excellent items for players who need a horn to use in a multitude of musical settings. This tenor ships out in perfect playing condition with a Saxquest set-up and the original box case.
