Yamaha Atelier – No High F#

This is a Yamaha YTS-82ZIIASP Custom Z “Atelier” tenor saxophone in raw brass, serial number F10529. The tenor has already seen some play time in the past but is outstanding physical condition. It has never seen any body or solder repair. This saxophone was recently set-up in our shop and is in perfect playing condition. We will also look at it once more before shipping to ensure it leaves or shop in perfect playing condition.

The Atelier is a top notch professional tenor showing off comfortable modern key work from low Bb to high front F. This one in particular was made with out the a high F#. The palm keys on these models feel slightly closer to the body tube in direct comparison to the standard Custom Z model. This is ideal if you are already a fan of the Custom Z but also enjoy the lower compact feel of a vintage Selmer. The tenor also features a weighted neck screw and a Yamaha Custom C1 neck.

This particular tenor is in raw brass. With no finish this is an especially responsive and free blowing instrument. Because it is in raw brass, what goes on the horn pretty much stays on the horn. As such the horn already has a decent amount of cosmetic wear in the forum of spotting from the previous owner. Outside of the tenor not being super pretty this is an absolutely tremendous pro player! Do not miss out a chance to pick one up.
