This is a vintage Florida Otto Link “Slant Signature” 5* for soprano saxophone. The piece is in great shape and was recently touched up by James Bunte. It now shows off a very clean profile regarding the table, side rails and tip. These pieces were made with a wide open throat leading into rounded inner side walls and a subtle rolled baffle shaping below the tip.
Physically the piece is in fantastic condition showing some standard cosmetic blemishing from past use, but nothing too terribly serious. The Otto Link stamping is still clear. Its beak is in great shape and has most likely been protected by mouthpiece patches over the years.
The mouthpiece plays with a rich character while allowing for a smooth response to air flow and clear projection. The tip opening of this mouthpiece measures .062”.
