This is an old King Zephyr baritone saxophone in gold lacquer, serial #331419.
This baritone has seen quite a bit of use in its day and is in need of a restoration at this time. It is with King Zephyr double socket neck. The serial number on the neck included is 303276. This insturment shows history of past dent and soler work. Many dings still remain around the body and neck.
This sax will need to be completely overhauled with an additional 15+ hours of body work before it is going to be ready for any serious amount of playing. A job like this is not for the faint of heart and would require a restoration by an experienced tech with all the right tools.
Fully repaired the right way this could be a fantastic player with a powerful sound. We are currently selling a number of vintage items in need of restoration at low prices. Rather you want to give it a go to properly restore it, or cannibalize it for other projects, the price is hard to beat.
