King H.N. White Tenor
This is a vintage King H.N. White Model tenor saxophone serial number 105530. The tenor was manufactured in Cleveland Ohio in 1927 shortly before King shifted to the Voll-True model. It plays with a quick response to air flow and features a robust sonic character. This saxophone has a warm center but is also quite punchy.

The body of the sax is in solid condition from top to bottom. There is some history of standard play wear and past repair on the horn. At this time most of the horn is in raw brass. It is with the original neck in good condition. The body tube, bow, bow cap and bell are all in good shape. These old King's are keyed to high F with straight tone holes and a trill G# key.

This tenor came in playing great on a older re-pad from another shop with a standard grade leather pads and brown nylon resonators. The key work feels nice and smooth under the fingers with good medium open key heights. This sax is very ideal for the collector who is looking for an example of a early King that plays great. The big robust free blowing sound also could make it a great item for any pro looking for something on a budget. Due to the early vintage of this sax it might not be suited for a starting student.

While it is a very fun and easy to play horn in its own right it is also a great example of the early vintage King models. It showcases the playing and sound foundations King is now well known for. This tenor ships out playing in as is condition and includes a wood hard case.
