Outstanding price on a Yamaha Custom Z YTS-82ZII (second version) tenor sax in gold lacquer, serial number D76379. This is a tremendous horn for players looking for a modern, contemporary sound in a top shelf pro tenor. This sax is in great shape, and will ship with a fresh pro setup.

This is a one-owner professionally played sax, showing just typical wear from regular use. The original lacquer is 95%, with most of the wear found as scratching on the backside of the body tube near the neckstrap ring. There's 2 tiny dings in the bell flare (probably bumping up against a stand) and 2 small previously removed dings in the upper tube near the top of the sax. No other past damages or repairs, including no resolders. The original Custom V1 neck has never been damaged or pulled down and is in flawless shape.

This sax is currently in our repair shop getting a fresh adjustment. We'll take it all part, do a full cleaning inside and out, and replace all key adjustment corks and felts. We'll also replace any pads not up to our standards, and clean and reseat the rest of the pads as needed. It will play like a brand new horn when we're done with it, sealing up like a drum and with a tight, even action.

This tenor plays with a bold, edgy sound, and takes all of the air you can push and then some! There is no quit in this sax. Not too bright, but definitely modern sounding, with a strong edge that cuts. You can tone that down with the right mouthpiece, but why would you want to?! Great sounding horn with a lot of punch. Ships in its original case, which shows only mild scuffing.
