1923 Vintage CG Conn New Wonder Alto Sax - LOW PRICE - Serial # 105215
1923 vintage Conn New Wonder (first series) alto saxophone in gold lacquer, serial number 105215. This alto is available at a super-low price, currently needing new pads. It looks gorgeous and ships in a hard case.
This alto was relacquered awhile back and done pretty well, as you can see in the photos. The engraving on the bell still really pops, with no signs of heavy buffing. There are currently no dents, but maybe some signs of past dent work before the new lacquer was applied. The sax does feature rolled tone holes, though a couple have been filed on at the edges here and there. The original neck is solid with microtuner mechanism.
This alto was last repadded decades ago and the pads are past their useful life. We are selling it as-is with the hope that its next owner can repad it and get it playing great again.
