Couf Superba I soprano saxophone (serial number 85784) - This instrument is a top of the line professional model soprano saxophone made by Keilwerth. It's especially popular with classical saxophonists because of its warm tonal characteristics, even sonics throughout all regiasters, and accurate intonation. It was manufactured with a high F# key.
This particular example has nealy 100% of the original lacquer still beautifully intact and the engraving is ornate and detailed. This sax was modified (improved) by adding a strap hook. The Couf Superba soprano has unusually low right hand palm keys. This was corrected by adding custom cork risers.
