Weltklang 1960's
This is a vintage Weltklang tenor saxophone in nickel silver, serial number 16728. Currently the Saxquest shop is pretty smitten with this saxophone. We rarely see such  quality examples of these horns. They are built like tanks and are highly fascinating regarding the build and key work.  Made in Germany, this looks to be one of the models from the mid 1960's. It features a trill G#, Eb and a high C/D trill as well as the sheet metal guards. ( not wire design) The bell engraving shows the Weltklang globe logo which was used until they moved to a vertical logo on their later models.

The body of the saxophone and the finish is in outstanding original condition. It shows absolutely no history of repairs. In fact it is very likely the saxophone has never even be serviced. Its silver finish is in great shape and just needs to be cleaned up. The tenor is with the original neck and original case. Its neck is in perfect physical condition and it shows a matching serial number stamp on one side of the brace.

It came into our shop on its original leather pads. Due to the age and condition of the pads this saxophone is not currently playing. If you want to play this saxophone it will need to be overhauled first. It is highly tempting to overhaul this horn to see how it is as a player.  But Because our shop is so swamped at the moment we are offering it in as is condition. Due to the rare nature of the Weltklang this item is most ideal for the collector.

One of the most interesting horns in our shop at this time. Ships in as is condition with original case.
