Eastman ETS852 - 52nd Sreet
The Eastman ETS852 builds on the popular 52nd Street model with the improved “DS” keywork improvements of the ETS850 Rue Saint-Georges. It comes in an unlacquered body for a truly vintage appearance, and has an exceptional response in all registers, producing a big, fat sound with precise intonation. A larger bell and specifically-placed rolled-style tone holes contribute to the sound qualities of this instrument that many compare to some of the great vintage horns of the past. The ETS852 model includes both an “S” neck (from the original ETS652 52nd Street) as well as a new “M” neck, developed with Bob Mintzer. Keywork to high F#.

Saxquest has been blown away with the new ETS852. Eastman really took there time in developing this sax and has put a lot of thought into making a tremendous instrument. From a constructional stand point the biggest feature on these instruments is the placement of both straight and rolled tone holes. The lower stack is all rolled tone holes, going down from F/F# to low Bb. All of the tone holes above this ( all the way up to the palm keys) are straight. The key work features nickel silver touch pieces in place of what would usually be pearl touches.

The ETS852 “52nd Street” is a highly flexible pro tenor and is great for anyone looking for the bigger “free blowing” qualities of a 50's vintage Mark VI in a modern application. Every Eastman tenor ships in perfect playing condition with a pro set-up from the Saxquest shop.
