HELP, I Want One!

This is a mint condition Selmer Paris Reference 36 tenor sax in the antique matte finish, serial number 701274. This tenor looks to have only been played a handful of times and is as pretty as a “used” horn can be, with no real lacquer wear of note. It'll ship with a fresh adjustment from our shop and come to you ready to bring years of enjoyment.

As you can see in the photos, this tenor looks spectacular. There are no major dents or dings, no resolders or previous repairs. Even the neck is perfect. I can't even find any lacquer wear on the touch points. There's a couple stray surface scratches and one very tiny ping in the bell flare; I tried to get a photo but it is so shallow that it doesn't even really show up very well. Pad are still in like-new condition with original brown nylon resonators. We'll perform a fresh regulation before shipping, making sure the pads are clean and sealing properly when it gets to its new home.

These days, there's a lot of horns with this brushed, antique-like finish, but this wasn't always the case. When Selmer debuted this on the Reference line, it really stood out! Usually you see this finish on the Reference 54, but this 36 model was ordered with it, and it pops. This tenor plays with a definitely warm, darker tone, with a strong response. It offers the player superb control and it has no quit; you can push it hard and it never feels like the sax is holding you back. Ships in its original Selmer Light series case, which is also in excellent shape.
