HELP, I Want One!

SBA Baritone
This is a sweet playing Selmer Paris Low A Super Balanced Action, serial number 55073. According to the serial number records this saxophone came off of the Selmer production line in late 1953. This was at the end of the SBA series just before they started moving towards the Mark VI. These saxophones have an amazing sonic character and play with a beautiful singing quality. One of the most exceptional features of the SBA baritone is how light and fluid the key work feels under the fingers. If you are someone with smaller fingers or are tired of the oversized key ergonomics on most of the baritones out there the SBA is going to be irresistible.
The body of the baritone is in terrific physical condition. Its lacquer finish shows off a beautiful dark honey hue which is complemented by the crisp floral engraving. The body tube, bow and bell are all in nice original condition. Its bow cap is in perfect shape and has never been pushed in. The bell flare is also in pristine condition and has not been pulled down. All of the key work, rails, posts and key guards are present and in very good condition. There is no trace of re-solder on any of the key guard feet. The upper J/U tube area of the sax is in good condition one side of the body tube to J brace has been re-soldered in the past.
This SBA is currently in the Saxquest shop awaiting a professional set-up and regulation. The baritone ships out in perfect playing condition with the original Selmer case.
