Wells Chicago Slim Body Hard Rubber Mouthpiece for Tenor .105
High Floor Baffle - Rare
This is a vintage Wells Chicago hard rubber mouthpiece for tenor saxophone. The mouthpiece shows off a slim body similar in appearance to Berg Larsen. It also has a high baffle floor and a uniquely shaped window and side rails. The facing profile of the piece is in nice condition. It measures .105” which is a 7* in Otto Link measurements.
The outer body and shank of the piece are in nice condition showing standard character for a vintage hard rubber mouthpiece. There is a small indentation on the beak from previous teeth placement but nothing too serious.
This is a fairly rare piece we do not see to many of. It plays with a darker sonic color then I was expecting. I would compare it to a dark playing Berg Larsen hard rubber piece. Ships with an old Bonade clarinet ligature.
