Vitnage Dukoff Transitional D6 Metal Mouthpiece for Tenor Sax
Dukoff Transitional
This is a vintage Dukoff D6 for tenor saxophone. Before the Miami Dukoff pieces were big Dukoff made a smaller number of pieces that are know called transitional. This one in particular is in nice shape around the outer body. The beak does show a small indentation from past use, but it is not too deep. Its facing profile is also in good shape and was more recently touched up by Brian Powell. It now measures .095 at its tip.
This mouthpiece is all about taking a lot of air in and putting out a powerful medium bright sound. It does not have the smooth balance in comparison to a Link but does have quite a strong voice. A good piece to go for if volume is what you are after.
