Yanagisawa Low A Baritone Sax

This is a nice Yanagisaw 6 series low A baritone saxophone in gold lacquer finish, serial number 176050.

Saxquest does not see a lot of these earlier Yanagisawa baritones. This one has a serial number that corresponds to the later models ( depending on which chart you are looking at) However going off of the key work it looks like it was most likely a 6 series baritone. Regardless it is a nice Yanagiswa baritone and features gold lacquer and comfortable key work down to low A. This is a great choice for the serious baritone player looking for a professional low A model for a decent price.

The sax shows signs of normal play and lacquer wear across its body. Looking over it closely it does not seem to show any signs of past solder repair. All of the original key work and guards are intact and in good condition. This sax also includes the original neck. The neck shows similar cosmetic character with the rest of the saxophone but has never been seriously pulled down. This baritone received a professional re-pad from another shop in the last few years. Its current set of leather pads and metal waffle resonators are all in great shape and have seen very little play time. The sax is due for some general set-up and adjustment and is not playing all that well at the moment. As such it is currently in our shop awaiting service.
