Vintage Tenor at a GREAT PRICE

Here we have a vintage Vito 'Duke' tenor made by Leblanc/Beaugnier in gold lacquer, serial #19047. This one in particular is vintage from the 1960's. It is highly reminiscent of a vintage SML and Buffet model saxophone. The tenor plays with a dark and deep resonating core sound and is very responsive. Its sonic character is also rather focused which makes sonic control of the instrument quite nice.

The horn has seen a number of performances in its day but it is in excellent physical condition. The body tube, bow, bow cap and bell are all in great shape. All of the key guards are present and in good condition as well. The original neck is with the tenor and is very good condition. It looks like the previous owner kept it in good serviced condition. It is currently in playing nicely on a slightly older set of pads. Ultimately the horn could use some general servicing before it can be considered “perfect”. But in order to keep the tenor at a premium price we are selling it in as is condition. As it sits this is a great playing tenor and is perfect for anyone looking for a strong player with out paying the big bucks. The last owner of the horn also added some nice palm key risers on palm D and E keys as well as a very thoughtfully placed second neck strap ring.

Sonically, this horn plays with a dark character and is fairly free blowing. This horn can put out a big sound in the low end, so it is a handy back-up for a pro or a great intermediate player's main horn. Ships in as is condition with wood hard case.
