Repair Special – Vito Duke Alto

This is an older Vito Duke alto saxophone in gold lacquer, serial number 18414. These Vito models were manufactured by the Beaugnier company. This one in particular has seen its fair share of use over the years. It does show history of past dent and solder repair, some dings still remain. A previous owner of this saxophone put in a mix match of leather pads in it more recently, mostly black roo pads. The saxophone is complete except for the missing thumb touch on the left hand octave key thumb rest.

As it currently sits the alto is pretty difficult to play as all of the pads are leaking due to it needing some general servicing, body work and aligning of the body tube. If you are wanting to put any serious amount of play time on this sax it is going to need to receive a decent amount of service time first. Ideally the best thing to do would be to completely overhaul the horn. But it might be possible to get by with less work if you have an understanding repair tech.

All done up the Vito Duke is a superb playing alto with a dark sound and a rich focused quality. We would love to do the work our self but as our shop is very backed up we are selling off some items like this on in as is condition and a lower price point.

This alto ships in as is condition with a older SKB hard case.
