HELP, I Want One!

Soloist C for Tenor .064”
This is a 1950's era Selmer Soloist C short scroll shank mouthpiece for tenor saxophone in hard rubber. These pieces have a deep rich tone that gets a plenty of projection from the semi rounded walls in the chamber with a tight rollover baffle just behind the tip. The opening to the to the bore is horse-shoe shaped.  The table reads that it is a C tip opening (.065 inch).

The body of the mouthpiece is in great physical condition for a piece of its vintage. It does have oxidation across the entire body. The table, tip and side rails are all in excellent condition. The small tip opening on this piece makes it ideal as a piece to have opened up. At slightly larger facings these can be great pieces for straight ahead jazz.
