Selmer Mark VII – Includes Pro Set-Up

This is an outstanding player! Vintage Selmer Paris Mark VII tenor saxophone, serial number 252570. If you are looking for a vintage Selmer that is a hands down fantastic player please keep reading. This tenor features a smooth response regarding air intake and projection. It has a robust fullness about it which is very balanced and precise across the entire horn. The sonic clarity and darker color of this particular Mark VII is exceptional.

The body of the saxophone is in nice shape showing a healthy amount of finish wear to the original silver plate. Most of it is around the main key touch areas. A past owner of the sax had the majority of the pearls replaced with black key pearl. The D key is the only one with a non original white pearl. In addition to having a nice look against the silver and brass they also feel quite comfy under the fingers. The saxophone has seen some history of repairs. A few of the key guard feet on the lower region of the sax have been re-soldered. The body tube, bow, bell, bell flare and bow cap are all in great shape. Its original neck is with the saxophone and is in excellent physical condition. The clothes guard on the saxophone is in raw brass and is not original to the tenor.

The last owner of the sax had it professionally engraved with the American Selmer floral pattern on the bell. This work was done by a real pro and looks absolutely stunning. This tenor was professionally set-up in 2022 and is in perfect playing condition. It currently is set-up on a mix of premium leather pads and metal resonators. These are all in great shape and have a ton of life left in them. The saxophone has already been set up but it will be play tested and checked out once more before shipping to ensure it leaves our shop in perfect playing condition.

While it is not the prettiest horn in our shop it is easily one of the best playing tenors we have at this time. If you are looking for a no nonsense pro Selmer at a great price you will not want to miss out on this Mark VII.
