Includes Saxquest Overhaul
This is an original lacquer Selmer Paris Mark VI tenor saxophone, serial number 110966. These Mark VI's from the early 1960's are extremely versatile players. They tend to be just a little more focused and brighter then the late 1950's models but still have all off the robust power and resonance you want in a good Mark VI. This one in particular has quick response to air flow and very powerful sound with crystal clear projection. The key action feels smooth and fluid under the fingers allowing for an easy play. This Mark VI is in the sweet spot for any serious players looking to get into an original lacquer VI with out breaking into the 10 thousand range. It is not the prettiest but is a top notch player and is in solid physical condition.

The original lacquer finish on this saxophone is in good shape showing the history of actively played instrument. There is history of past repairs on this saxophone and a small number of re-solders to the lower key guard feet ( pictures ). The body tube and bow are in great condition and the bow cap has never been pushed in. The bell flare is also in good shape but does show a small pull down on the outer flare that is currently being corrected in our shop. This saxophone does include the original neck with matching serial number stamp. The neck is in excellent condition and has never been pulled down.

This Mark VI is currently awaiting a complete overhaul in our shop. Our tech is going to do a dissemble and clean up on the horn. Followed by correcting the bell flare and precise fitting of all the key work. Once complete the tenor will be precisely regulated featuring a new set of Valentino leather pads, brown plastic resonators, new corks and new felts. The tenor ships out in perfect playing condition.
