HELP, I Want One!

This is a vintage Selmer Paris Mark VI soprano saxophone in original lacquer, serial number 198934. The later Mark VI soprano is an ideal item if you are a pro looking to get a fabulous vintage soprano. This one from 1972 shows history of plenty of performances but is in solid physical condition. It does feature the later vintage neck venture at the upper part of the neck/body tube.
The Mark VI soprano has a colorful voice and is quite responsive and free blowing while maintaining a centered core sound. This sax takes the air in easy and is very flexible. It plays with a colorful voice and is exceptionally free blowing while maintaining a richly centered core sound.  Like many later Mark VI sopranos this sax does lean a little on the brighter side of things.
Physically the sax is in very solid condition. A lot of the lacquer is off the sax from use but it does not show any serious repair and there is no history of  re-solders. The body tube and upper neck venture are both in great shape. Its bell is also in nice condition. There is some standard cosmetic blemishing around the bottom flare from previous placement on a soprano peg.
This soprano is currently in the Saxquest shop awaiting a professional set-up. The set-up will include a complete disassemble and cleaning followed by a thorough regulation. It ships out in perfect playing condition in the original Mark VI  wood box case.
