Vintage Selmer Paris Mark VI Low A Baritone Saxophone in Raw Brass, Serial #106392
Restoration by Saxquest Shop
This is a vintage Selmer Paris Mark VI low A baritone saxophone, serial number 106392. The instrument recently received a mechanical restoration in our shop. It is now ready to go in perfect playing condition with fresh set of new pads and key materials.
This bari features a rich and robust quality to the way it plays and it is also quite striking to look at. As it is now the body tube, bow, bow cap are all in clean condition. Like most of the great baritones out there this one has seen some repair in the past. If you look closely you can see where some of the key guard feet were re-soldered in the past. The saxophone is with all of the original key work, guards and neck with matching serial number stamp. All of the key pearls still feel nice under the fingers and are not overly worn down or flattened.
When this sax first came into our shop it had seen a ton of playing and was in need of a lot of love. In order to do it up right we had the bell of the saxophone professionally re-cut before performing the rest of the body clean up and overhaul. This saxophone has received meticulous key fitting and adjustments to the key work during the overhaul process. It is now in perfect playing condition with a brand new set of premium leather pads, nylon resonators as well as new corks and felts. Our tech also added an additional key stop bar to support the operation of the high F pad cup. This is positioned in the marching lyre holder and can be removed if desired.
This baritone ships out in perfect playing condition with vintage wood hard case and a fresh restoration from our shop.
