Vintage Selmer Pairs C* Short Shank Soloist Mouthpiece for Tenor Sax
1950's Vintage Soloist
This is a Selmer Solosist C* “Short Shank” for tenor saxophone. The piece is in great shape and still shows the Selmer signature stamp very clearly on the back of the body. Its beak, body and shank are also all in good physical condition.
The facing profile of the piece is in good shape showing some small wear spots along the inside of the side rails. Its table and tip are in good shape and do not show any major wear. These pieces were originally made to be a straight forward tenor mouthpiece for students and symphonic settings. These days they are very common for players looking to have a piece opened up when looking to get closer to the Joe Henderson vibe.
The tip opening of this piece measures .070”.
