For Restoration or Parts
This is an old Selmer Bundy alto saxophone in gold lacquer, serial number 453859. The Bundy has been one of the most recognized and commonly used horns in the school band programs for quite some time. They are rugged, well built instruments. This one in particular is an earlier example. It has most of the inked red Bundy logo still visible. The construction and key work of these horns resembles the late Buescher models. This one has left side bell keys with nickel plated key work.

The story of this sax is best told through the photos. It is in decent physical condition with all of the key work and original neck included. It does show a history of past body and solder repair. Some dents still remain at this time. All of the key work is free moving, nothing is frozen in place.

Right now Saxquest shop is very backed up and we have a lot of great vintage items we are sell in as is condition. This came into our shop on a mix of old to very old pads with a few pads completely missing. (horn is not functional in its current condition) It will ultimately need to be completely restored from top to bottom before it is going to be ready for any playing. If you have a local shop to do the work this one can be purchased at a lower “as is” price. Horns like this are also ideal for saxophone players looking to get into doing repair themselves.

Ships in as is condition with original neck and case shown in picture. The saxophone will be professionally packed for shipping with the case. If you get the saxophone restored we would recommend you get a new case for day to day use.

Buyers Take Note: This sax does not play at this time and currently needs a complete restoration. It is not advisable for use until it is repaired, it is beyond repair techs ability to “just make it play.” Please let us know if you have any questions.
