The Martin Alto – Original Pads
This is a pretty “The Martin” Committee III alto saxophone in original lacquer, serial number 206267. It looks like the previous owner did not play it all that much and the sax has mostly sat in the case over the years. It does still have the original leather pads and factory felt work.  This Martin also includes the original sales receipt from 1959 as well as the original Martin wood hard case and neck.
The saxophone is by no means in mint condition but the physical body is just about as clean as it gets. There is currently one small ding on the bow which we will remove in our shop. Aside from that there is no history of the saxophone receiving major dent work in the past. There has never been any solder repairs on the saxophone. All of the original key work, guards and guard feet are intact and in very nice original condition. The original bow cap is in perfect condition. A notable area of wear is the lacquer wear on the lacquer finish around the G# post. This saxophone does include the original neck in great shape. It has never been pulled down and does have the matching serial number stamp.
This saxophone came into our shop on its original leather pads. The pads are of course very old at this point and they will need to be replaced if you are planning on doing any playing on this instrument. At this time it is not playing. Because we do not see these come around with original factory pads very often we are offering this one at a lower price in as is condition. If you would like us to do a professional overhaul on this sax please select the add an overhaul option on the drop down menu when adding the item to your cart. A Saxquest professional overhaul will include all new premium leather pads, nylon resonators, new corks, felts and a very through key regulation. The work would put the saxophone in perfect playing condition.
