Beautiful Original Lacquer Mark VII Tenor
This is a gorgeous original lacquer Selmer Paris Mark VII tenor saxophone, serial number 252081. These vintage Mark VII's are a great choice when you are looking for the vintage Selmer with a more focused core sound. This one in particular plays with rich and colorful medium warm sound. It is just a little darker in comparison to the late 1970's vintage Mark VI models. The key work is very smooth and fluid under the fingers allowing for comfortable motion across the entire instrument. Its original pearl set is also in excellent condition which adds a nice crispness to the way the key work feels. This tenor also features the earlier vintage Mark VII engraving and key work to high F#.

This Mark VII was superbly looked after by its previous owner. It is showing off a lovely dark honey  tint to the original lacquer finish. There is some honest play wear on the saxophone but it has never seen any major past repair. There has been zero re-solders to this tenor. The body tube, bow and bell areas are all in excellent original condition. Both the bow cap and the bell flare are perfect and were never pushed in. There are just a few very small dings around the bow of the tenor. These will be taken out in the shop. This saxophone also has the original neck, which is in pristine physical condition and has never been pulled down or repaired.

The saxophone is currently in the Saxquest shop being professionally set-up. Our set-up will include all new cork and felt key materials and a thorough regulation of the instrument as well as removing the small dings around the bow area. It ships out in perfect playing condition with the original Selmer wood hard case.
