HELP, I Want One!

Late Vintage Mark VI Tenor
This is a vintage Selmer Paris Mark VI tenor saxophone in original lacquer from 1973, serial number 217867. These later vintage Mark VI tenors play with a bit more focus and brilliance which makes them great for anyone looking for a horn they can use in a wide variety of musical settings. This saxophone came into our shop on most all original pads and factory felts. As such it is currently awaiting a professional overhaul in our shop. The work will included a disassemble and cleaning followed by precise key fitting. Once complete the sax will be set up with a new set of premium Valentino leather pads, metal domed resonators, new corks and new felts.
The body of this saxophone is in solid physical condition with some standard cosmetic wear as well as history of mild dent and solder repair. Its original lacquer shows its proper dark tint which is nicely complemented by the crisp American engraving. The body shows some smaller dings around the lower body and some re-solders to the key guard feet of low C and Eb. While the saxophone is in our shop being overhauled we will also do our best to smooth out the dings along the body as well as correct the slight pull down on the original Mark VI neck.
Please Read Regarding case.
This saxophone came into our shop with two cases. The original black wood hard case with a case cover and a more modern protec case. We will let the buyer decide which case is best. The protec case is in excellent condition showing a little bit of cosmetic wear but nothing too serious. Its original Mark VI case is unfortunately with out a working zipper for the case itself but the outer case cover does have a functional zipper. If you going to be on the go a lot with this saxophone we recommend choosing the protec case, but the original Mark VI case definitely has an aesthetic appeal. If you would like to have both cases please let us know before purchasing so we can arrange to have the second  sent to you for a additional shipping fee.
Saxophone ships out in perfect playing condition with an overhaul from the Saxquest pro shop and a case. Please let us know if you have any questions.
