Mark VI Soprano - Superb Player!
This is a very pretty Selmer Paris Mark VI soprano in original lacquer finish, serial number 206402. The soprano features key work to high F# and is an outstanding world class player.

The body of this soprano is in excellent physical condition showing of a stunning original lacquer finish. There is some standard cosmetic play wear around some of the major key touch areas but it looks like the soprano was very carefully played and maintained over the years. The body tube, neck venture and bell flare are all in excellent condition as is the original key work. Looking over the instrument very carefully it looks like there was a few smaller size dings that were removed in the past below the thumb rest. The saxophone has never received any solder repair.

This soprano plays with lighting fast air intake with a clean and crisp response. The core sound is excellently balanced on this horn allowing for great control and versatility of the instrument in all registers. While this should be considered a free blowing horn with a brilliant sound quality it is notably more focused and controlled then the early vintage Mark VI sopranos. The projection on this soprano is exceptional.

The Mark VI soprano came into our store playing superbly on a recent overhaul from another pro shop. It is currently set up with natural cork materials and a new set of black roo pads with Maestro resonators which are all still in new condition. We will play test the sax and do a quick bench check to ensure it ships out sealing perfect but will not be adding any of our own set-up work to this instrument.

This is the perfect soprano if you are looking for a great player with the clean looks to match. Ships out in vintage wood hard case.
