This is a very nice playing vintage Meyer New York USA 4m for alto sax. It was originally stamped a 4M but was later worked on by professional mouthpiece refacer Brain Powell, now measuring as a large 6M. Physically the piece is very clean around the outer body and beak. There is a some teeth marks along the beak but nothing too deep or serious. It should be noted this mouthpiece has had a past pick up repair on the back of the body. (see pictures for the circular patched area above the Meyer signature) The repair was done well.
This mouthpiece plays with a smooth response to air while producing a full, clear projecting sonic character. The tip opening of this piece measures .079”.
