Vintage Meyer New York USA 7 Small Chamber – E. Greiffenhagen .080
Meyer – Refaced by Erik Greiffenhagen
This is a nice vintage Meyer New York USA small chamber mouthpiece for alto saxophone. The mouthpiece has received refacing work by master mouthpiece tech Erik Greiffenhagen. Its outer body shows some normal signs of play wear but is very clean looking and has no serious wear to note. The facing profile of the table, rails and tip is exceptional.
I was expecting this mouthpiece to be a little bit brighter because of the smaller chamber but I personally found it to be nice and full while having excellent projection with a clear projection. A great hard rubber mouthpiece for straight ahead jazz and lead alto work.
The tip opening on this mouthpiece measures .080”.
