This is a vintage Meyer New York USA 4m “Small Chamber” for alto saxophone. The tip opening on this piece measures .070”. This is closer to what a 5 opening will typically measure. Its beak and outer body of the piece are in good shape showing normal play wear. The last owner used mouthpiece patches so the beak does not have any deep indentations from past use. The facing profile is not the pretties at this point and shows the history of a lot of use. Despite not being the best looking the piece is a very nice player. It has a smooth response and showcases a brilliant sonic character with a tight core focus.
