This is an extremely rare Gregory-made Simpson Hollywood mouthpiece for the tenor sax. These pieces were made for just a couple years in the early 40s and are one of the rarest around. This piece features a very short shank (“stubby”) is a bit shorter even than a Soloist short shank. It is all original and never refaced, with tip measuring .073”. There is some light teeth wear on the beak, but no indentations, and the only wear around the body is some faint ligature marks and scuffing. Tip and rails are in pristine shape. This piece very much like a Gregory Master Hollywood.
