Professionally Overhauled by Ben Reece
This is a pretty sweet player, vintage Martin Indiana tenor saxophone in original gold lacquer and nickel silver keys, serial number 41109. These saxophones were a go to step up instrument for the serious saxophone student for many years. This one is not the prettiest sax in our shop at this time but is great player and comes with a complete overhaul from the Saxquest shop. It ships out in perfect playing condition with all new leather pads, brown plastic resonators, new corks and felts.
Similar to the Martin Committee models the Indiana was manufactured with beveled tone holes, sliding right hand thumb rest, front F key and a very punchy sound. The body on this saxophone is in nice shape showing plenty of honest cosmetic wear for a horn of its vintage. There is some history of past body and solder work on this sax. As it sits now post overhaul it is in very solid condition from top to bottom. The bow, bow cap and bell flare are also all in great condition. Its original neck with the sax is also in good shape and does show a matching serial number stamp.
This saxophone ships out in perfect playing condition with a modern box hard case. This is sort of a cross over item in the way it is a good choice for the starting student or the vintage sax enthusiast who needs a powerful saxophone on a budget.
